Chapter Philanthropy

Delta Rho chapter supports our national philanthropy Reading Is Fundamental by hosting our BBQ for Books fundraiser in the fall and a Spring Break raffle in the spring. Community members, greek life members and other students come out and support our projects and we use the money we raise to donate thousands of books and volunteer hours to Boys and Girls Clubs, elementary schools and hospitals.

Ole Miss Kappas not only make a difference in the local community but also across the ocean. Since 2011, Ole Miss Kappa has sponsored Feed the Hunger, a packathon that involves the entire Greek community, Ole Miss campus, and Oxford community. Since 2011, 820,000 meals have been packed; and a typical "Pack-A-Thon" event packs enough meals to feed 600+ kids for a year!

Ole Miss Kappa sends a group of members with Feed the Hunger every winter, spring, and summer breaks to deliver the meals to locations such as Haiti, Kenya, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Port-Au-Prince.

Kappa works with the men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon to host Kappa con Queso at the Kappa house benefiting Young Life and Feed The Hunger. All the proceeds from this event were split equally amongst the organizations and we were so honored to host this event! 

In addition, we also support many other local charities and causes.
